A fine Louis XV style tulipwood
parquetry commode stamped mahe-o’chinal, mid 19th century, circa
1850, with a molded serpentine fronted mottled marble top above two
drawers sans traverse fitted with leaf and shell-cast handles.
Raised on cabriole legs headed by pierced ormolu chutes
ending in pierced ormolu sabots. The front and sides inlaid with a
diamond matched pattern. |
