An elegant and uncommon commode-secretaire, Regence style, mid 19th century, circa 1840. The serpentine fronted rouge royal marble top above four long drawers. The top drawer fitted with a fall front and pulls out to reveal a fitted burl maple interior and leathered writing surface below 3 inset drawers. The whole decorated with a parquetry of cubes and mounted with filets of brass and finely worked ormolu mounts. |
